I blamed it on postpartum—the exhaustion, the emotions, the fog that just wouldn’t lift. January felt heavier than usual… but I had just had a baby.

Of course I was tired. Of course I was overwhelmed. It all made sense at almost 10 months postpartum… until it didn’t.

What I didn’t know was that there was already something new planting in the middle of my chaos. Two under two. Not our plan. But I’m already starting to see the beauty in it.

Gender Reveal for Baby #2

We kept our second pregnancy a secret until our daughter’s first birthday. But we chose to do something special to find out the gender of baby #2—just for us.

With a canvas, pink and blue paint, and the help of my in-laws, we headed to a scenic spot to create a memory. They dipped our daughter’s tiny hands in the paint and pressed them onto the canvas while we sat with our backs turned—waiting.

When we finally turned around, we saw the surprise revealed through her little handprints. A sweet and simple moment we’ll never forget. #GIRLMOM
