As a first-time mom, I have to admit I definitely tend to overpack! But these five items are absolute must-haves for us when traveling. They’ve made our trips so much smoother, even if it’s going to grandma’s for the weekend or several days. While there may be other brands out there, here’s the list of the ones we use and love!

1. Hatch Rest Go

  • We actually used this portable sound machine in our room. We did so until our daughter outgrew her bassinet and transitioned to her own room. When setting up the nursery, we placed the Hatch Rest+ in her room. We didn’t want to move it back and forth so the Rest Go was the perfect addition to our room. The Hatch Rest Go helps her sleep peacefully no matter where we are. It also cancels out background noise! Its lightweight, rechargeable design makes it perfect for road trips, flights, and all our travel adventures. Plus, it’s easy to toss in your baby bag!

2. JolyWell Egg Night Light

  • This was an everyday essential in our room and an absolute lifesaver on the go! The rechargeable portable nightlight is perfect for nighttime feedings. It comforts your little one without having to turn on any other lights. The brightness settings range from very dim to super bright, offering plenty of options to suit any situation. Another item that’s easy to toss in your baby bag.

3. Mink Inflatable Baby Bathtub

  • This portable bathtub is genius! It has a built-in air pump (BEST PART), back support, and deflates easily for packing. It’s perfect for newborns to toddlers, ensuring bath time remains a familiar and safe routine even when traveling.

4. Summer Infant Pop ’N Sit Portable Booster Seat

  • A portable chair that truly says it all! This booster seat is perfect for weekend getaways, visiting friends, or trips to Grandma’s house. We even packed it in our suitcase for our Boston trip, and it was so easy to carry. Especially once we started solids, this became a total game-changer for meals on the go!

5. Guava Lotus Travel Crib

This lightweight, portable crib with a backpack design is a game-changer for parents on the go. Our daughter is on the smaller side, so we used the bassinet kit until she was 10 months old. It quickly became our favorite. It let her sleep comfortably beside us just like at home in the bassinet. It is also great for independent sleepers who have transitioned to their crib.
